The IQ Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Professional Investigation
The IQ Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Professional Private Investigation (RQF) is an online distance learning course and has been designed primarily for those people who have little or no private investigation experience or qualifications.
It is a fully comprehensive course that will teach you everything you need to know to either gain employment as a qualified professional private investigator or set up and operate your own private investigation business. The course is made up of 12 modules, at the end of each module you will need to complete a multi-choice questionnaire which is automatically marked once completed and assess how you are progressing and whether or not you need to revisit the module.
After completing all 12 modules and provided you have progressed well you will be able to sit the final exam, this is online, through IQ’s exam portal. The final exam is a workbook consisting of 46 short answer questions covering all 5 units. This can be completed all at once or per unit there is a 2 year time limit for completion. There is no pass mark as you will need to complete all 46 questions sufficiently to gain your certificate. Once you have completed the workbook and it has been marked and passed the plagiarism check, you will be contacted via Skype to be asked a few questions about the answers you submitted to validate it was you who completed the workbook. After enrolling on the course you will be given access to our student portal and be able to access your course materials, contact your course tutor and use the student forum. You will be able to start studying straight away.
The IQ Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators (QCF)
The IQ Level 3 Award for Professional Investigators (QCF) being the SIA Competency Test for the future licensing of the UK private investigation industry which is a qualification for those people who work as Professional Investigators and who will require a (SIA) private investigator license when licensing becomes a requirement.
It is primarily a test of proof of competence consisting of 2 units and 39 hours of studying. Although the course is distance learning it is a requirement for the candidate to sit a short invigilated examination at an approved centre which the Academy provides across the UK.
